Carolina Gold was America’s very first cultivated rice, brought here in 1685 by a merchant ship from Madagascar. The purists will insist that this variety is only authentic when grown in the Carolina’s, so we’ve partnered with our friends at the Tidewater Grain Company in Oriental, North Carolina to bring this product to the Northeast the way it was meant to be enjoyed.
