Blonde Rye Brownies (Blondies)

A classic made extra special with rye! by Cat of Legacy Acres
Who doesn’t like brownies? This is just one of Legacy Acres amazing treats.


  • 1⁄2 cup butter, melted

  • 1 cup light brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • Dry Ingredients:
  • 1 1⁄2 cup Maine Grains Rye Flour

  • 3⁄4 tsp sea salt

  • 1⁄2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 cups chocolate chips


  • Preheat oven to 365ºF.
  • Grease an 8″ x 8″ pan – you can line with parchment.
  • Stir together butter and sugar.
  • Add egg and vanilla and stir till egg is mostly blended in.
  • Add the dry ingredients and combine.
  • Stir in your chocolate chips.
  • Spread evenly into your pan and bake for 20 – 25 minutes.
