Blueberry Muffins

Another Miller’s Table Cafe favorite!

Wild Maine blueberries (the tiny ones) make this a classic!


Makes 12 Muffins - Preheat oven to 375 degrees
1/2 cup butter or vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups Maine Grains Organic Sifted All Purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup milk
2 cups Maine wild blueberries (fresh or frozen) or raspberries in season can be used
2 tsp sugar


  1. Cream the shortening and sugar in a large bowl, leaving the 2 tsp sugar for the tops before baking
  2. Add eggs, one at a time and mix
  3. Fold in the dry ingredients, then add vanilla, blueberries and milk
  4. Spoon mix into paper tulip cups and sprinkle the tops with the 2 tsp sugar
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes
