Classic cornbread – great with any meal!
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Whisk together the flour, cornmeal, baking soda, baking powder, sugar and salt.
- In a separate bowl beat together the buttermilk, eggs and butter.
- Stir the wet into the dry ingredients with a few swift strokes until combined.
- Pour batter into a greased 8×10″ pan – or a cast iron skillet.
- Bake for about 30 minutes – or until bread is a golden brown.
