Buttermilk Cornbread

Classic cornbread – great with any meal!



  • Preheat oven to 425ºF.
  • Whisk together the flour, cornmeal, baking soda, baking powder, sugar and salt.
  • In a separate bowl beat together the buttermilk, eggs and butter.
  • Stir the wet into the dry ingredients with a few swift strokes until combined.
  • Pour batter into a greased 8×10″ pan – or a cast iron skillet.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes or until bread is a golden brown.
