Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Whole Grains (Wheat Berries, Oat Groats, Rye Berries, etc.)

  • 1 Quart sized Mason Jar

  • Something permeable to cover the jar – netting, mesh, cheesecloth, thin fabric

Directions

  • Put your whole grain in the mason jar and fill it with cool water. Let them soak this way for 8 hours.
  • After 8 hours of soaking, rinse and drain the grain 2 times per day. Fill the jar up with water and give a gentle swish, then drain the water using your mesh jar covering.
  • Keep the sprouting grain in indirect sunlight. You should see little sprouts forming by day 3.
  • Your sprouts will be ready by day 4! Store in the refrigerator until you’re ready to use them.
