Rye Applesauce Flatbread

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl – it will be sticky – use one hand to keep the other hand clean/dry. If mixing on a board be sure to flour the surface
  • Spread into a flatbread shape and cook in a very hot pan on the stovetop for a couple of minutes or bake on a cookie sheet in a hot oven for a couple of minutes. It will balloon like a pita.
  • As a variation, use any fruit or vegetable pulp/puree in place of the applesauce.
